    there are many "jasmines" (over 200 just in the genus Jasminum alone) so it would be good to know the latin name so you can be sure of the plant you are interested in ingesting. Plants in other genus that are commonly referred to as "jasmine" are Trachelospermum, Gelsemium, Cestrum.

    Jasminum sambac is used to flavor tea for Jasmine tea.
