Hi! My daughter just informed me that 4 or 5 wart-like bumps have appeared on the bottoms of her feet. They do look like warts, which makes me wonder if they are plantar warts. Are there any natural/herbal remedies for this?

Re: Plantar warts?
Sun, September 9, 2007 - 9:44 AMAfter burning, lazer and cutting out a planter wart, nothing removed the root.
Finally, I soaked my foot during a bath and taped a small peice of aloe vera leaf
right onto the wart. After a few days of repeating this, the wart left for good and never returned. -

Sun, September 9, 2007 - 5:06 PMWow. Sounds like you went through a lot of pain for nothing. Someone else told me to try using castor oil, so I'm going to give that a try first; if that doesn't work, then we'll try the aloe leaf.
Thanks for the tip!

Re: Plantar warts?
Sun, September 9, 2007 - 10:07 PMWart Plant can be bought from Riechert's Herbs onlin, don't know if you can get it other places, like a health food store. The juice from the stems is rubbed on the wart and it falls off in a few days.
Plantars warts are hard bumps found on the soles of the feet, they tend to grown inward due to the pressure of the foot and should NEVER be dug out, or they can spread badly. Ever see a crocus plant when it starts the little baby bulbs? Like that. My sister has one that she dug at as a kid, now it has a name and even doctors can't remove it.
Best bet is to get the over the counter plantarts wart treatments. It is salisylic acid, the ingredient of willow, which is aspirin. It destroys the wart a little at a time, which causes the plantar version to move outward as it is killed, eventually eliminating the wart. On other surface warts, this process is easier. If the plantar wart is left untreated, it will evetually become painful for your daughter to walk on it, like having a pebble stuck under her skin.
Best wishes and hope she is better very soon! PS remind her not to pick at it

Wed, September 12, 2007 - 5:45 PMThuja oil works very well. It's made from cedar.
My favorite source for it is here...

I've been buying from Denise for many years, and the quality of her herbs and oils is phenomenal.

Re: Plantar warts?
Thu, September 13, 2007 - 8:29 PMthe white foam when you pick a fig will get rid of a wart - but you have to be very careful not to let it get into your blood stream - because then it can be very toxic.
i live with a woman who had this experience. it worked like a charm on her warts - but one burst and she wasn't paying attention and continued to apply the remedy and within minutes felt terrible and had to lie down - next morning took a white poop - and decided that a larger dose would be an effective way to kill someone.
i eat figs from the tree and ingesting the white sap is fine.
